English/ Historical and Religious Sites:

One of the most important ruins in Bala' is (the tunnel) through which the Ottoman train used to get for ages past. It is 250m long and was built in the shape of an arc.

There are other Roman archaeological sites such as the west of the town site called (Al-Bajoura), and (Wad Maseen) in the northern area in addition to down town site where old Roman pieces were discovered.

There are seven mosques in different areas of Bala'. They include centres for learning and recitation Holy Quran besides cultural libraries. Some of these mosques were funded by some people whose origin is from Bala' but they live in exile.

Al-Muntar Mount is the most important historical site as Palestinians fighters used to sruggle against British mandate army on it during the Palestinian revolt in 1936. Two famous battles took place on that mount where many British soldiers fell injured or dead. In addition to human loss, a British helicopter was fallen by Palestinian fighters.

Another historical place is Al-Qatayen Road in the west of the town where a tough battle took place in 1968 between Palestinian fighters and Israeli soldiers. The result of that battle was many Israeli soldiers were injured and killed and three Palestinians fighters fell martyrs and were buried at the place, so their graves are still there.
